Lot’s of climbing in the coastal mountains, old growth redwoods, and steep canyons outside San Franciso make this one tough race that is worthy of a “Championship Event.” Single tracks, fire roads, and a lot’s of hills give this course variety which tests all runner’s strengths and weaknesses.

This is a flyover of the Endurance Challenge 50K Race in Marin and includes maps and profiles of the [...] Headlands 100 from The Endurables on Vimeo. The Headlands 100 route consists of four 25 mile loops which pass through the Rodeo Beach Start/Finish area. After racers complete a loop, they switch directions and run the opposite way. This should enable some great “high fives” during the day. The course also has over 20,000 feet of ascent!!! *note [...] Music Option: Tina Turner, Proud Mary This flyover shows the San Francisco Marathon Course as it winds it’s way through the city. As it crosses the Golden Gate Bridge ignore the track which drops into the water. When I have more time I’ll redo that portion, but gps tracks don’t register bridges and default to the [...] |
